The Business in Pocket module keeps you connected to your store operations directly through your personal Telegram account. Receive instant notifications about new orders, customer messages, and low stock alerts β all without opening your WordPress admin panel.
πΌ What It Does
This module acts as your personal business assistant, delivering critical store updates directly to your Telegram:
- π New Order Notifications β instant alerts with full order details
- π¬ Customer Message Alerts β respond to support requests immediately
- π¦ Low Stock Warnings β get notified when inventory runs low
Manage your business on the go without constant admin panel access. React to customer inquiries instantly and never miss an important order notification.
π§ Setup Instructions
Step 1: Create a Personal Notification Bot
- Open @BotFather in Telegram
- Send
/newbotcommand - Choose a name for your notification bot (e.g., “My Store Notifications”)
- Choose a username (e.g.,
mystorenotify_bot) - Copy the Bot Token provided by BotFather
- Start your new bot by clicking the link provided
This is a separate bot from your store bot. This one sends notifications only to you, the store owner.
Step 2: Get Your Telegram Chat ID
- Open @userinfobot in Telegram
- Start the bot
- It will display your Chat ID number
- Copy this number (e.g.,
123456789)
Step 3: Configure in Botoscope Settings
- Go to Botoscope β Extensions tab
- Find πΌπ²π§ Business in your pocket
- Click the “Settings” button
- Fill in the following fields:
| Field | What to Enter |
|---|---|
| bot_name | Your notification bot username (without @) Example: mystorenotify_bot |
| bot_token | Bot token from BotFather Example: 7890123456:ABCdefGHIjklMNOpqrsTUVwxyz |
| admin_chat_id | Your Telegram Chat ID from @userinfobot Example: 123456789 |

You can configure multiple bots and admin IDs separated by commas. This allows different team members (e.g., store owner, support manager) to receive notifications on their own Telegram accounts.
π Example Configuration:
Single recipient: bot_name: mystorenotify_bot bot_token: 7890123456:ABCdefGHIjklMNOpqrsTUVwxyz admin_chat_id: 123456789 Multiple recipients (separated by commas): bot_name: mystorenotify_bot,supportbot bot_token: 7890123456:ABCdefGHI,9876543210:XYZabcDEF admin_chat_id: 123456789,987654321
This approach allows you to send notifications to different people:
- Store Owner β receives order notifications
- Support Manager β receives customer message alerts
- Warehouse Manager β receives low stock warnings
Simply create separate bots for each person and configure them with commas in the settings.
Step 4: Enable Notification Types
Go to Botoscope β Settings β Business in Pocket and enable the notifications you want:

| Setting | What It Does |
|---|---|
| In pocket: notify about new orders | Sends instant notification when a customer places an order |
| In pocket: notify about customer messages | Alerts you when a customer sends a support message through the built-in chat system |
