🧲 Advertising Inside Your Bot

Botoscope includes a simple but effective advertising block that allows you to show promotional messages directly inside your Telegram bot interface.

🎯 What Is It For?

This feature is optional, but can be useful in several scenarios:

  • 📢 Promote specific products that need attention
  • 🧦 Push slow-moving inventory with custom ads
  • 🤝 Show partner or affiliate promotions
  • 💰 Display sponsored content for extra revenue

📋 How It Works

  1. Go to the Advertising tab in the admin panel.
  2. Add one or more ad entries — each includes:
    • Ad text or short message
    • Optional link to a product or external site
    • Status (active/inactive)
  3. Only active ads are shown to users.
  4. Each time the catalog is displayed (along with category buttons), one ad is shown randomly at the bottom.

🔁 Ad Rotation Logic

  • If you have only one ad — it will be shown every time
  • If you have multiple ads — one of them will be picked randomly
  • If you want to temporarily hide an ad — use the switcher to deactivate it (no need to delete)

🛠 Tips for Effective Ads

  • Keep the message short and clear
  • Add a strong call to action (“Check this out”, “Limited offer”, etc.)
  • Use emojis to catch attention
  • Link directly to the relevant product page

  • “🧢 Don’t miss our new caps collection – Check it here”
  • “🔥 This product is almost gone – Buy now”
  • “🤝 Sponsored by PartnerCo – Visit site”

🧩 Formatting Syntax for Ads

You can enhance your ad messages using simple formatting tags. This allows you to create clickable links, bold or italic text, and bullet-point lists.

🔤 Available Tags:

  • [b]...[/b] — bold text
  • [i]...[/i] — italic text
  • [url=http://example.com]...[/url] — clickable link
  • [list] [*] item1 [*] item2 [/list] — bullet list

Tip: Use line breaks or spacing to improve readability. These tags work inside the ad editor — no coding required.

Note: Ads are shown only on the catalog screen, below category buttons. There is no automatic scheduling — you can enable/disable ads manually at any time.
