🆕 Adding a New Product

In Botoscope, you can easily add new products using a user-friendly admin panel. The interface allows you to edit key fields directly in the table and expand product details through a full edit form.

📋 Where to Add a Product?

1. Go to the “Products” tab (the first one).
2. Click the “➕ Create Product” button in the left top side
3. Fill in the basic information about the product.

✏️ Fields Editable Directly in the Table

• 🏷️ Title
• 🖼️ Media files (images and videos, max 8)
• 💵 Price
• 🔖 Sale Price
• 📦 SKU (product code)

🛠 Fields Editable in the Product Card

To access all settings, click the “📝 Edit” under the product ID. You’ll be able to configure:

📃 Product Description

• Main text
• Meta fields

If you’ve connected OpenAI API (you can add your key in settings), you can:

• Automatically generate professional product descriptions with AI
• Correct grammar with AI

🎧 Media Content

• Audio files (MP3, OGG)
• Product images and videos

🌐 Additional Information

• SKU (product identifier)
• Publication date — can be set in the future to simulate regular catalog updates

🧾 Product Types

You can choose a product type that fits your business needs:

• 🛍️ Simple — a standard physical or basic product
• 🌐 Virtual — a non-physical service
• 📥 Downloadable — digital product (ZIP, PDF, MP3, etc.)
• 📡 Media Casting — streaming or media-based product
• 🔗 External — links to products hosted outside Telegram
• 🧳 Grouped — a bundle of related products
• 🎛️ Variable — products with variations like size, color, etc.

📦 Stock & Availability

• Price — regular price
• Sale Price — discounted price
• In Stock / Out of Stock — product availability

🧩 Categories and Brands

Before assigning them to products, create categories and brands in the “Taxonomies” tab section. Then, simply select the needed values from the dropdown when editing the product.

🎯 Quantity Restrictions

• Minimum cart count — the minimum total quantity allowed in the shopping cart (e.g., 10)
• Quantity step— increment step (e.g., 2,3, 5, 10, 15 …)

🕓 Scheduled Publishing

You can schedule a future publication date for each product. This allows your store to look active and regularly updated — even if you added all products in a single day.

🔧 Custom Meta Fields for Botoscope Content

By default, Botoscope uses the standard WooCommerce product title and description. If you want to store separate content specifically for your Telegram bot, you can configure custom meta fields.

Add these filters to your theme’s functions.php file:
